Job summary

Koniag Data Solutions, a Koniag Government Services company, seeks a seasoned Zero Trust Engineer to architect, implement, and mature Zero Trust security controls for a distributed federal IT environment. You will drive strategy across identity, devices, networks, applications, and data while collaborating with Government stakeholders.

The role requires hands-on expertise, strong policy knowledge, and the ability to lead technical conversations across cross-functional teams to advance Zero Trust

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant field.
• Minimum 5 years of hands-on cybersecurity engineering experience in federal contracting or enterprise security.
• Experience implementing Zero Trust controls across pillars (identity, devices, networks, data, applications).
• Experience with IAM platforms (Microsoft Entra ID, Okta) including MFA enforcement and conditional access.
• Active security clearance or ability to obtain required for program eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Serve as technical authority for Zero Trust architecture and strategy.
• Lead development of Zero Trust reference architecture, roadmaps, and implementation plans in alignment with NIST and federal mandates.
• Drive MFA enforcement, PAM, and identity governance across enterprise platforms.
• Lead PKI, device trust, and network access control integrations within Zero Trust program.
• Mentor security engineers and collaborate with Government stakeholders to advance Zero Trust maturity.
• Assess emerging Zero Trust technologies and integration opportunities across pillars.
