• Operate tractors/equipment for planting, tilling, moving limbs, mowing, and mulching.
• Assist customers with seasonal Twin Oaks goods (pecans, flowers, blueberries).
• Support Farm/Livestock Managers as directed.

East Texas A&M University: College of Agricultural Sciences & Natural Resources Twin Oaks Farm for Experiential Learning is looking for a task worker who is interested in gaining practical experience and responsibilities in the agricultural industry, while providing support to the day-to-day operational needs of East Texas A&M University.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assists in planting, weeding, watering, harvesting, and overall crop maintenance
• Assists with care of facilities including, but not limited to, mowing, trimming, power washing, raking, picking up limbs, sweeping, and facility cleaning.
• Ability to operate and maintain tractors/equipment during planting, tilling, moving limbs, mowing, and mulching.
• Assist customers with seasonal purchases of Twin Oaks goods (pecans, flowers, blueberries)
• Any other tasks as directed by Twin Oaks Farm supervisor, Grace Ogden, or Farm/Livestock Managers

• Be in good standing with a minimum 3.0 GPA
• Be enrolled in courses each term of the assistantship
• Meet specific credit hour and subject requirements for teaching or lab roles
• Non-native English speakers must demonstrate language proficiency
• Research assistants must complete Responsible Conduct in Research training
• Work up to 20 hours per week, depending on the appointment
• May have teaching or research assignments, or provide administrative support
