Job summary

Hoffman Construction is seeking a Federal Wage Compliance Coordinator to support Davis-Bacon Act requirements with certified payroll review and contractor compliance tracking. The role is onsite near Boise, ID and includes enrollment management and record-keeping across multiple contracts.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED (associate/bachelor’s preferred), 3-5 years of administrative/compliance experience, and strong Excel skills.

Responsibilities

Job description

Position Summary:The Federal Wage Compliance Coordinator provides administrative and operational support with a focus on certified payroll review, contractor compliance tracking, and system administration in support of Davis-Bacon Act requirements. This role is responsible for managing enrollment, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring subcontractor compliance across multiple contracts. This will be onsite at our project near Boise, ID.

Salary Range:$55,000 – $65,000 DOE + Incentives

  • Manage enrollment, setup, and ongoing maintenance of certified payroll systems and compliance platforms
  • Review subcontractor certified payroll reports for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with prevailing wage requirements
  • Track and monitor submission status, deficiencies, and compliance issues across multiple contracts
  • Maintain and organize compliance documentation, including payroll reports, contractor records, and contract files
  • Communicate with subcontractors to request corrections, missing information, and required documentation
  • Track deadlines and follow up to ensure timely submission and resolution of compliance items
  • Perform data entry, audit, and routine checks to ensure accuracy within compliance systems
  • Support system administration tasks, including user setup, access management, and troubleshooting
  • Assist with audit preparation by compiling and organizing required compliance documentation

QUALIFICATIONS

Professional Experience and Education:

  • High school diploma or GED required; associate or bachelor’s degree preferred
  • 3-5 years of administrative, compliance, or coordination experience
  • Experience reviewing documents, tracking compliance items, or preferred working with contractors
  • Exposure to certified payroll or prevailing wage requirements is a plus
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and administrative systems

Physical and Mental Requirements:

  • Standing/Walking/Sitting: Workday is combination of sitting/walking and standing.
  • Hands/Arms: Constant use of hands/fingers for mouse/keyboard/computer use.
  • Vision: Visual acuity in near, mid and far range vision. Color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, hand/eye coordination.
  • Hearing: Sufficient to hear conversational levels in person and over the telephone andradio; sufficient to hear alarms on equipment.
  • Speech: Sufficient to make oneself heard in person, speak in front of groups, and be understood over the telephone and radio.
  • Lift/Carry: Up to 50lb computer/drawings- minimal.
  • Kneeling/Crouching/Crawling: Minimal.
  • Constant mental alertness, accuracy, and attention to detail required.
  • Work independently, make decisions, and follow through on all assignments.
  • Use creativity, independent judgment, and organizational and problem-solving skills to determine the best method to accomplish desired results.
  • Plan and organize work.
  • Strong organizational and computer use skills and have a high level of competency to read/write/speak English, interpret construction related documentation and communicate with coworkers.
