Job summary

XLA in Washington, D.C. seeks a Travel Analyst to support a federal agency, performing TDY planning, travel authorizations, and voucher processing in line with FTR and agency policies.

The role is full-time and onsite, with standard hours 8am-5pm ET. The successful candidate will coordinate travel for Fraud Section staff, maintain travel records in E2 Solutions, prepare reports, and assist with policy guidance and training materials for leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and a minimum of two years of related work experience.
• Understanding of the Federal Travel Regulations (FTR) and travel authorization/vouchering processes.
• Experience providing travel scheduling and using travel systems similar to E2 Solutions; identify errors and correct them.
• Substantial use of Microsoft Excel.

Responsibilities

• Serve as travel contact for Fraud Section employees with policy and process guidance.
• Interpret TDY requests and prepare travel authorizations per policies and timelines.
• Process and submit travel vouchers for reimbursement following policies.
• Review travel authorizations and vouchers in the travel system for errors before approval.
• Provide updates to travelers and officials when changes occur.
• Coordinate documents and visas for overseas travel and liaise with embassies as needed.
• Run monthly travel updates and address open obligations in E2 Solutions.
• Act as liaison between finance and travel teams on policy questions and issues.
• Make reservations for travelers in E2 Solutions when needed.
• Assist with evaluating FRD travel operations and reporting metrics for leadership.
• Support creation of PowerPoint slides, website content, and tutorials for the travel program.
