The Opportunity

We are seeking a Manager to join our EDGE Insurance Tax team. In this role, you will work with insurance industry professionals on dynamic tax compliance projects to deepen your tax expertise.

Your Key Responsibilities

• Consult with clients, escalate complex issues appropriately, and manage client expectations.
• Deliver and oversee compliance and consulting services to meet deadlines.
• Lead projects independently, providing guidance in complex situations.
• Manage communications with client teams to gather and share information for accurate reporting.
• Support long-term client relationships and manage workflow efficiently.
• Oversee engagement deliverables, team resources, and ensure compliance with tax laws.
• Provide leadership, feedback, and coaching to team members.

Skills and Attributes for Success

• Problem recognition and escalation skills for timely and accurate tax work.
• Experience in client-facing discussions on complex tax topics.
• Ability to dissect complex projects and develop client-centric solutions.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Tax, Law, or Economics with at least 5 years of tax experience.
• CPA, EA, or licensed attorney certification.
• Strong knowledge of ASC 740 and SSAP 101.
• Experience with income tax support for audits and insurance companies, including C Corporations.
• Experience preparing and reviewing returns like 1120, 1120 PC, 1120 L, and consolidated groups.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in state and local taxation.
• SEC experience.
• Proven team management experience.
