Our EY EDGE team provides specialized tax technical services to US and global clients. The team emphasizes exceptional delivery and growth, operating in a technical environment with deep process expertise.

The Opportunity

We are seeking a Manager for our EDGE Insurance Tax practice. You will work with industry professionals on tax compliance projects to enhance your technical knowledge.

Your Key Responsibilities
  • Consult with clients, escalate complex issues appropriately, and manage expectations.
  • Deliver compliance and consulting services within deadlines.
  • Lead projects and work independently in most situations.
  • Manage client communications and gather necessary information.
  • Support long-term client relationships and manage workflow effectively.
  • Oversee engagement deliverables, team resources, and ensure compliance with tax laws.
  • Provide leadership, feedback, and coaching to team members.
Skills and Attributes
  • Problem recognition and escalation skills.
  • Experience in client conversations on complex topics.
  • Ability to analyze and break down complex tax projects.
  • Multitasking and deadline management skills.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in relevant fields with at least 5 years of tax experience.
  • CPA, EA, or licensed attorney.
  • Knowledge of ASC 740 and SSAP 101.
  • Experience with income tax support for audits, insurance companies, and C Corporations.
  • Experience in preparing and reviewing tax returns 1120 series.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in state/local taxation and SEC regulations.
  • Proven team management skills.
