Job summary

Baker Tilly is seeking a tax professional to join our Atlanta advisory team. You will provide federal tax compliance and consulting services to middle market and multinational clients, including partnerships and S-corporations.

You will participate in tax research, draft IRS responses, and collaborate on ASC 740 related projects while mentoring junior staff. Qualified candidates have a 4-year degree, 3+ years in tax, and either a CPA/EA/Law license.

Qualifications

• 4-year degree required; CPA, Law license or EA preferred.
• Three+ years of experience providing federal tax compliance and advisory services in a public accounting firm.
• Tax experience with nonprofit clients is a plus.
• Strong time management, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficient Microsoft Office; familiarity with tax research tools.

Responsibilities

• Be a trusted member of the engagement team delivering federal tax compliance and advisory services.
• Serve S-corporations, partnerships, individuals and corporations from middle market to multinational.
• Perform tax research, draft IRS responses, and address tax authority inquiries.
• Collaborate with leaders on projects in corporate and flow-through taxation including ASC 740.
• Develop client recommendations and communicate with leadership.
• Work with specialty tax teams on state/local, international, credits and incentives.
• Mentor junior staff and contribute to firm-wide learning programs.
