Job summary
Halvik Corp is seeking an experienced Systems Administrator to maintain and ensure the availability of a Federal government customer’s systems, aligning with performance targets. You will lead troubleshooting, coordinate with stakeholders, and communicate issue status and resolutions effectively.
The role covers Windows and Linux server administration (on-prem and Azure), patch management, security reviews, and system design.
Qualifications
- BS/BA degree and minimum 8 years of experience in Windows Server, Azure, and Linux.
- Hands-on experience with server configurations, installations and updates.
- Azure-based solutions, high availability, and security reviews in Azure.
- Automate cloud deployments and monitor cloud services for cost and security.
- Administer Linux servers; implement automated maintenance scripts.
- Coordinate system deployments with development teams; include A&A support.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and maintain servers, disk space and memory; report trends monthly.
- Develop performance and availability metrics for NTIA systems.
- Support on-premises and cloud-based servers and applications.
- Manage Windows, Linux, and Azure environments (on-prem and Azure).
- Handle system provisioning, upgrades, and architecture planning.
- Perform security reviews, patch management and vulnerability remediation.
- Documentation of systems and incident/resolution communications.
