Job summary

Halvik Corp is seeking a seasoned Database Administrator to oversee the performance, integrity, and security of a Federal customer’s database systems. You will plan, develop, and maintain databases and troubleshoot user issues in a federal government environment.

Responsibilities include data modeling, performance tuning, data warehousing, and enforcing naming standards, with backup and restore processes. Requires active Secret clearance and a BA/BS plus 5+ years of relevant experience.

Qualifications

• BA/BS degree or equivalent.
• Minimum 5+ years of related database administration experience.
• Experience with Oracle RDBMS and Microsoft SQL Server; database security and user management.

Responsibilities

• Model logical and physical data for database management systems.
• Improve database performance through indexing and denormalization.
• Develop data warehouses and marts for specialized data needs.
• Enforce data naming standards and manage database logs.
• Perform database backup, archive and restoration services.
