Job summary

MAXIMUS is seeking a seasoned contracts professional to oversee subcontract management and compliance for federal programs. You will review proposals, negotiate terms, and ensure adherence to FAR/DFARS while coordinating with project managers, procurement, and finance to align strategies with program objectives.

The role requires 7+ years of related experience, strong analytical skills, and proven ability to operate in a matrixed environment supporting DoD programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in relevant field with 7+ years of experience.
• Experience managing subcontracts under prime contract awards (Cost Reimbursable, Firm Fixed Price, Time & Material).
• FAR/DFARS, NDA, TA best practices, CPSR compliance.
• Proficiency with ERP and CLM systems; data analytics and reporting.
• Ability to operate in a fast-paced, matrixed environment and coordinate cross-functionally.
• Experience supporting Federal Civilian and/or DoD programs.

Responsibilities

• Manage company policies for FAR/DFARS compliance and company directives.
• Oversee review of proposals and contract actions prior to signature or negotiation.
• Implement contract policies, procedures and compliance across the business unit.
• Manage subcontract completions and close-out processes.
• Negotiate terms with government representatives to maximize company interests.
• Analyze situations with deep knowledge of organizational objectives.
• Establish budgets, schedules and performance requirements.
• Interact with senior management on cross-functional matters.
• Develop and execute company policies with potential company-wide impact.
