Job summary

Guidehouse is seeking a Strategy and Transformation Senior Consultant to bridge federal, state, and local stakeholders with regional business and industry partners in FEMA Region 5 (Chicago, IL). You will drive information-sharing during emergencies and shape actions that bolster economic resilience through targeted collaborations.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree and at least six years in disaster management, plus GIS expertise with ArcGIS and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• BA/BS degree required; minimum six (6) years in emergency disaster management or related field.
• Experience using GIS services (ArcGIS) to analyze and present supply chain, business, and economic impacts, trends and predictions.
• Direct FEMA/DHS experience or familiarity with NRF/NDRF.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Federal public trust; on-site work at FEMA Region 5 office (Chicago, IL).
• Strong written and oral communication skills; proficient with Microsoft Office suite.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate relationship-building between SLTT governments and key business and industry stakeholders within a FEMA region.
• Coordinate information-sharing during emergencies to support economic resilience.
• Develop collaborative actions with private sector partners in disaster contexts.
• Serve as a communications conduit between federal government and regional business and industry entities.
• Assess and improve regional emergency management processes for private sector integration.
