Job summary

Guidehouse seeks a Partnerships, Engagement, and Strategy Senior Consultant embedded with FEMA to strengthen relationships with federal, state, local, tribal, and private sector partners. The role focuses on communications, stakeholder engagement, and strategic collaboration to improve disaster preparedness and resilience.

The position is based in Washington, D.C., with onsite requirements four days per week and one day at Guidehouse offices in Tysons, VA or Arlington, VA.

Qualifications

• Must be able to OBTAIN and MAINTAIN a Federal or DoD PUBLIC TRUST; candidates must obtain approved adjudication prior to onboarding.
• Bachelor's degree required.
• Six (6) years of experience in emergency management or a closely related field.
• Experience in communications, customer experience, partner engagement, marketing, or training.

Responsibilities

• Lead partnerships, engagement, and strategic communication initiatives with FEMA, government partners, NGOs, and private sector stakeholders.
• Build trusted relationships to advance disaster preparedness, response, recovery, mitigation, and resilience objectives.
• Develop and implement engagement strategies, outreach plans, and communications campaigns.
• Research and communicate risks, operational challenges, and resilience initiatives to inform decision-making.
• Plan, organize, and facilitate meetings, workshops, and stakeholder engagements involving senior leaders and external partners.
