Job summary

Macro-Z-Technology Company in Santa Ana, CA seeks a Site Safety and Health Officer (SSHO) for federal/civil projects on-site. You will ensure compliance with EM 385-1-1, OSHA, and Cal-OSHA, perform inspections, and support the preconstruction safety planning to drive continuous improvement.

You’ll lead safety meetings, develop the Accident Prevention Plan, review AHAs, supervise incident investigations, and train site personnel while coordinating with the construction team and owners to meet

Qualifications

• Must have 40 Hour EM 385-1-1 safety training and provide a copy.
• Must have OSHA 30 Certification and provide copy.
• Experience with federal construction projects is required.
• Heavy lifting up to 50 lbs. and physical stamina for varied weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Comply with and stay current with safety regulations (EM 385-1-1, OSHA, Cal-OSHA).
• Create and implement site-specific Accident Prevention Plan (APP).
• Create and review Activity Hazard Analysis (AHA) and Work plans based on project schedule.
• Maintain site safety records (inspection logs, near-miss reports, deficiency tracker).
• Lead safety meetings and conduct daily safety and health inspections.
• Develop and deliver safety training for projects.
