Halvik Corp is seeking a cybersecurity professional to provide technical and operational support for a Federal customer's Security Operations Center (SOC). The role covers enterprise security monitoring, incident response, and threat detection across a hybrid IT environment with on-premises and cloud services.

The candidate will perform advanced security analysis, threat detection, and engineering to strengthen cybersecurity operations and continuous monitoring capabilities, including hands-on

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a cybersecurity or related field.
• 2–6 years of cybersecurity experience.
• Proficient in analyzing, monitoring and reporting cyber threats; capable of intrusion scope and root cause analysis.
• Knowledge of SOC monitoring methods and technologies.
• Compliance with NIST, FISMA and related guidance; artifacts and configurations aligned with NIST SP 800-53 and FedRAMP.

Responsibilities

• Leading and coordinating incident response activities with ISSOs, system owners, and cybersecurity personnel to contain, eradicate, and recover from cybersecurity incidents
• Developing, updating, and refining incident response protocols, procedures, and playbooks
• Conducting proactive incident responses to detect stealthy activity, anomalous behaviors, or early-stage malicious activity
• Performing forensic analysis, log correlation, and campaign mapping during and after incidents
• Providing recommendations to strengthen detection, response, and mitigation capabilities
• Supporting compliance with federal incident-reporting requirements
