Johnson Controls is seeking a Site Safety and Health Officer (SSHO) to join our team in Virginia Beach. This role entails implementing safety programs, conducting inspections, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations.

The ideal candidate will have at least five years of construction safety experience, knowledge of OSHA regulations, and the ability to travel as required. Benefits include generous vacation time and eligibility for benefits from the first day of employment.

Qualificações

• 30-hour OSHA Construction Safety Class within the past 5 years.
• Five or more years of continuous experience with construction safety.
• Demonstrated continuing safety training thereafter.

Responsabilidades

• Implement Site/Task Specific Safety Program including safety training.
• Conduct daily safety and health inspections and mishap investigations.
• Enforce safety directives per JCFS Safety Program.

Conhecimentos

OSHA regulations knowledge

Microsoft Office proficiency

Construction safety inspection experience

Ability to travel

Formação académica

Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Safety & Health or related field

EM 385-1-1 certification

OSHA 500 – Train the Trainer course for construction
