Job summary

Kaizen is building a compliance function to own federal authorization obligations and the paperwork of record. The role sits in New York, NY or Washington, DC, with a hybrid work setup, focusing on FedRAMP, NIST 800-171, and related DoD/DFARS requirements.

You will lead the end‑to‑end POA&M, perform self‑assessments, maintain SPRS scores, and manage contracts and security questionnaires across civilian and defense agencies.

Qualifications

• Direct experience submitting in federal portals, SPRS and PIEE specifically.
• Has run a NIST 800-171 self‑assessment or RMF package end to end, with personal accountability for the outcome.
• Has computed a SPRS score and can explain the mechanics behind it.
• Hands‑on with NIST 800-53 Rev 5 inside a real SSP, with control implementation statements.

Responsibilities

• Own the POA&M end to end: keep it current, sign off with hosting partner, ensure signed items are accurate.
• Run NIST 800-171 self-assessment workbooks to completion, maintain SPRS score, drive remediation to close.
• Manage federal contract paperwork: DD forms, PIEE, SAM.gov, and DFARS flowdowns.
