Smart Structures is seeking a Quality Assurance Representative II to support QA activities on construction projects in Port St. Lucie, FL.

The role will monitor field activities, verify compliance with project requirements, and support the project team in addressing quality issues. The ideal candidate will have a strong construction background with extensive heavy civil project experience, be comfortable on active sites and rough terrain, and be adept at documenting inspections and coordinating

Qualifications

• 7+ years of construction experience required.
• 5+ years on heavy civil projects preferred.
• Ability to read and understand construction plans, specs, and project documentation.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to identify construction quality issues.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and with project teams.
• Must be physically capable of walking over rough terrain and standing for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Monitor construction activities to ensure compliance with approved plans, specifications, contract requirements and quality standards.
• Perform field inspections and document observations, deficiencies, and quality concerns.
• Verify that materials, workmanship, and construction processes meet project requirements.
• Identify potential quality issues and communicate them to project personnel.
• Assist in tracking corrective actions and ensuring deficiencies are addressed.
• Maintain inspection records, reports, checklists, and other project documentation.
• Provide clear updates to project management regarding field conditions and quality concerns.
• Assist with project closeout documentation and quality records.
