Job summary

The United States Secret Service Police (Uniformed Division) protects facilities and venues secured for Secret Service protectees, performing a range of protective assignments including safeguarding key sites and dignitaries. Training is extensive, and applicants must meet strict physical and security standards.

Position requires relocation to Washington, DC with a Schedule B excepted appointment of 3 years and 120 days, after which career status or separation is decided.

Qualifications

• Must have uncorrected vision of at least 20/100, correctable to 20/20 in each eye.
• Hearing loss must not exceed 25 decibels in either ear in key frequencies.
• Obtain a Top-Secret Clearance and retain it during your career.
• Use official name as it appears on valid government identification.

Responsibilities

• Safeguarding the White House complex, the Vice President's residence, and other facilities under protection.
• Traveling in support of Presidential, Vice Presidential, and foreign heads of state missions.
• Enforcing mandated protective responsibilities as described under Title 18, U.S. Code, Section 3056A.
