Job summary

The United States Attorneys' Offices in St. Louis, Missouri, is seeking Assistant United States Attorneys (AUSAs) in the Criminal Division to prosecute a broad array of federal offenses and to provide vigorous prosecution and advocacy on complex matters.

The position is term-limited to two years with the possibility of non-competitive extensions for up to four years total, and may be made permanent without further competition.

Qualifications

• Applicants must possess a J.D. Degree and be an active member of the bar (any U.S. jurisdiction).
• Superior oral and written communication skills, strong character and interpersonal skills; able to function with minimal guidance in a demanding environment.

Responsibilities

• Prosecute a broad range of federal crimes including firearms offenses, drug trafficking, public corruption, terrorism, white collar, organized crime, and crimes against children.
• Conduct trials, investigations, and handle briefing and argument before appellate courts; draft motions and responses; use investigative tools and manage confidential sources.
