Job summary

The United States Attorney's Office for the Southern District of Florida seeks Assistant United States Attorneys (AUSAs) to serve in Criminal, National Security, Civil, Appellate, and Asset Forfeiture Divisions. These positions are in Miami, Fort Lauderdale, West Palm Beach and Fort Pierce, Florida.

Qualifications

• Applicants must possess a J.D. degree (or equivalent) and be an active member of the bar (any U.S. jurisdiction) by their entry on duty date.
• Strong oral and written communication skills are required and academic credentials should be strong.

Responsibilities

• Prosecute federal criminal cases in the Criminal Division.
• Represent USAO in appeals before the Eleventh Circuit.
• Handle civil and asset forfeiture matters as assigned.
• Support national security and civil rights initiatives as needed.
