Job summary

The United States Attorney's Office for the Eastern District of Washington seeks dedicated attorneys to serve as Assistant U.S. Attorneys (AUSA) in the Criminal Division, prosecuting general crimes including organized crime, child exploitation, drug trafficking, human trafficking, immigration, and firearms offenses.

AUSAs handle cases from investigations through trial and sentencing with integrity. Applicants must pass preemployment checks, be licensed to practice in any U.S.

Qualifications

• Active bar in any jurisdiction and licensed to practice.
• Eligible for Selective Service registration.
• Must reside within 25 miles of the district.
• Subject to background investigation and pre-employment checks.

Responsibilities
