Job summary

Perini Management Services, Inc. in Augusta, GA seeks a Project Engineer to join our federal government construction team.

You will report to the Project Manager and collaborate with architects, engineers, and subcontractors to plan, coordinate, and deliver complex design-build and design-bid-build projects. This role requires travel/relocation near the project location, proficiency with Primavera P6 and Procore, and a degree in engineering or construction management, plus prior Federal project

Qualifications

• Engineering or Construction Management degree from an accredited institution.
• Experience as a Construction Project Engineer or Project Manager.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency with Primavera P6 and Procore.
• Willing to travel and relocate to near the project location.
• Experience/desire to work on US Federal Construction Projects, preferably with USACE or NAVFAC.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with architects and engineers throughout all phases of construction, including pre-construction/design phases.
• Assist in developing project budgets, timelines, and procurement plans.
• Review and manage design documents for constructability and distribution to client & subcontractors.
• Develop and maintain the project schedule, including monthly updates, and progress tracking.
• Process change orders and manage scope changes between the client, subcontractors, and designers.
• Assist in securing vendors and subcontractors.
• Monitor costs and assist with budget management.
• Identify and mitigate project risks.
• Coordinate with the owner and security officers for base access and ensure proper clearance.
• Document meetings, track actions and decisions; manage submittals, RFIs, and punch lists.
