Job summary

Perini Management Services, Inc. seeks a Project Engineer to join our Augusta, GA team. You will collaborate with architects and engineers across pre-construction through construction phases to drive planning, budgets, schedules, and procurement.

The role requires an engineering or construction management degree, internship or work experience in project engineering, strong communication, and proficiency with Primavera P6 and Procore. Travel to project locations is required.

Qualifications

• Engineering or Construction Management degree from an accredited institution.
• Work experience or internship as a Construction Project Engineer or Project Manager.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency with Primavera P6 and Procore.
• Willing to travel and relocate to near the project location.
• Experience/desire to work on US Federal Construction Projects, preferably with USACE or NAVFAC.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with architects and engineers throughout all phases of construction, including pre-construction/design phases.
• Assist in developing project budgets, timelines, and procurement plans.
• Review and manage design documents for constructability and distribution to client & subcontractors.
• Assist with developing and maintaining the project schedule, including monthly updates, and progress tracking.
• Process change orders and manage scope changes between the client, subcontractors, and designers.
• Assist in securing vendors and subcontractors.
• Monitor costs and assist with budget management.
• Identify and mitigate project risks.
• Coordinate with the owner and security officers for base access and ensure proper clearance.
• Document meetings, track actions and decisions, and manage submittals, RFIs, and punch lists.
• Support QC inspections and ensure project quality standards are maintained and documented.

As a Project Engineer at Perini Management Services, reporting to the Project Manager, you will have the opportunity to:

Description

Project Planning & Coordination

• Collaborate with architects and engineers throughout all phases of construction, including pre-construction/design phases.

Construction Oversight

• Support and oversee day-to-day construction activities to ensure alignment with plans and specifications.
• Assist in monitoring worksite safety and ensure compliance with safety standards.
• Assist in the coordination of subcontractors and vendors to ensure timely delivery and quality of materials and services.

Documentation & Reporting

• Documenting and Coordinating meetings, tracking actions, and decisions.
• Manage submittals, RFIs, and assist with punch list activities.
• Support QC inspections and ensure project quality standards are maintained and documented.

Requirements

• Engineering or Construction Management Related degree from an accredited institution, or equivalent competency achieved through relevant work experience.
• Work Experience or Internship as a Construction Project Engineer or Project Manager.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency with Primavera P6 and Procore
• Willing to travel and relocate to near the project location.
