TITLE:Secretary/Receptionists
QUALIFICATIONS:
- 1.Any combination of education and experience equivalent to a highschool diploma.
- 2.Business courses of secretarial/bookkeeping training from abusiness/technical school.
- 3.Computer Literate.
- 4.Good public relations skills.
- 5.Physical and emotional ability and dexterity to perform requiredwork and move about as needed.
- 6.Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may findappropriate and acceptable.
REPORTS TO:Administrator designated by Superintendent
JOB GOAL:To complete the detail and written work and to coordinate other mattersessential to the efficiency and effectiveness of the administrativesupervisor.
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Takes, transcribes dictation and types correspondences, reports, notices, recommendations, etc.
- Obtains, gathers, and organizes pertinent data as needed and puts it into usable form.
- Maintains a regular filing system, as well as a set of confidential files, and processes incoming correspondences.
- Places and receives telephone calls and records messages.
- Orders and maintains supplies as needed.
- Performs any bookkeeping tasks associated with the specific position.
- Maintains a schedule of appointments and make arrangements for conferences and interviews.
- Welcome visitors and arranges for their comfort.
- Screens unexpected callers in accordance with predetermined policies.
- Operates office machines.
- Engages in personal professional growth and demonstrates professional ethics.
- Performs other related duties that are required by the administrator.
TERMS OFEMPLOYMENT:
Twelve month year. Salary to be established by the Board.
EVALUATION:
Performance of this job will be evaluated annually in accordance withprovisions of the Board’s policy on Evaluation of Support Personnel.
