Job summary

AECOM is seeking an experienced Cost Manager to lead project controls for large federal programs and capital infrastructure. This role drives cost tracking, forecasting, change management, and performance reporting across complex programs. The position can be located in several cities and is on-site.

The ideal candidate brings extensive federal program cost management experience, EVM proficiency, and scheduling integration capabilities. Collaboration with program teams and clients is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and 8+ years of cost management, project controls, or program controls experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.

Responsibilities

• Lead cost management and project controls for complex federal programs and capital projects.
• Coordinate cost forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis.
• Develop and implement cost control procedures, reporting standards, and KPI metrics.
• Lead and supervise project controls personnel and sub-task managers.
• Establish effective relationships with federal clients, stakeholders, and funding agencies.
• Monitor financial performance and ensure alignment with budgets and schedules.
