Job summary

TRAX International Corp in Greenbelt, Maryland is seeking a Procurement specialist to source hardware, services, and materials for government contracts. Onsite role requiring knowledge of FAR/UCC and strong negotiation capabilities. You will manage purchase orders up to $35K and support inventory and receiving teams.

The candidate should have an associate degree and 2+ years in procurement, with ERP experience and excellent communication skills. Public trust clearance is a plus.

Qualifications

• Two years procurement, acquisition and contracting experience.
• Associate degree in business, economics, accounting, finance, or related field.
• Experience with large ERP supply and accounting systems.
• Specialized knowledge of FAR/UCC and contracting principles.
• Intermediate or advanced Excel skills.

Responsibilities

• Procures hardware, office supplies, project parts material, cryogenics, gasses, fuels, and other commodities.
• Procures commodities using Firm Fixed Price and Time and Material contract types.
• Develops, prepares, and presents requirements and terms and conditions in RFIs/RFPs.
• Negotiates and awards purchase orders with a value not to exceed $35K.
• Administers purchase orders and evaluates vendor performance.
• Analyzes proposed prices/costs and forecasts price trends.
• Provides procurement support to the inventory manager, warehouse personnel, and receiving inspectors.
