Job summary

Dell Technologies seeks a visionary Lead Solution Architect to drive the design, integration, and deployment of an on-premise private cloud. You will harmonize Linux/Windows workloads, enable IaC with GitOps, and ensure DoD/IC security compliance across multi-level enclaves.

This leadership role requires SAFe alignment, cross-functional team guidance, and hands-on experience with bare-metal provisioning tools like Tinkerbell/MAAS. location: McLean, VA with DoD security standards.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in enterprise IT infrastructure with 3+ years in a Lead Architectural role.
• Deep architectural and admin expertise with Linux and Windows Server.
• Advanced knowledge of SDN and network automation (Python/Ansible).
• Hands-on with bare-metal provisioning engines (Tinkerbell/MAAS).
• GitOps and IaC with Terraform/OpenTofu in secure CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with Cross Domain Solutions and DoD/IC security frameworks.
• SAFe or similar large-scale Agile leadership experience.

Responsibilities

• Design and oversee a highly available on-premise private cloud.
• Lead SDN deployment and network automation initiatives.
• Architect automated bare-metal provisioning workflows.
• Champion Git-centric IaC and CI/CD practices.
• Integrate Cross Domain Solutions for secure data transfers.
• Provide SAFe-based architectural leadership across teams.
• Ensure compliance with DoD/IC frameworks and DISA STIGs.
