You will handle case documents, learn legal authorities, read transcripts, summarize files, and prepare exhibits. Strong Office, research tool skills, and attention to accuracy are essential.

Qualifications

• Two years of experience in a professional office environment; legal setting preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and standard office technology.
• Knowledge of legal procedures and terminology.
• Knowledge of major legal research tools (Westlaw, Lexis).
• Familiarity with E-case filing systems and document scanning software.
• Ability to display documents at trial using relevant software.
• Excellent written and oral communication; strong organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide a variety of paralegal services to assist AUSAs in investigations and trials.
• Gather information from sources to aid litigation and prepare memoranda.
• Read, annotate, and summarize transcripts and case files.
• Obtain and analyze agency, court and public records for cases.
• Organize large volumes of records and prepare exhibits for discovery and trial.
• Interpret data and prepare oral and written reports for AUSA or judges.
• Review health care records and other sensitive materials when required.
• Support discovery responses and manage case files with accuracy.
• Provide automated litigation assistance and use software for trials.
• Perform duties with high accuracy and meet deadlines.
