Job summary

Heartland Consulting is seeking an Operations Specialist to manage the rhythm of a federal financial shared-services program. Responsibilities include meetings, document control, customer queues, and producing monthly/annual deliverables. The role requires strong MS Office/SharePoint skills and careful attention to data accuracy.

Onsite at Potomac Center South in Washington, DC, with a focus on accuracy, record-keeping, and governance. Requires U.S.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required in a relevant field.
• Minimum three years of federal financial operations, customer reporting, or program support experience.

Responsibilities

• Schedule and support recurring customer and internal meetings, record actions, and track them to closure.
• Maintain the customer document repository, SOPs, and desk guides with version control and records retention.
• Assemble monthly, quarterly, and annual customer packages; verify names, dates, totals, and distribution lists before release.
• Support SLA comment logs, panel sheets, and routing sheets through the September lock.
• Collect fiscal year-end queue reports and keep the progress tracker current.
• Support training materials for employees who submit data into billing tools.
• Log ad hoc requests and route to the Team Lead; do not release products outside the program without approval.
• Support process-improvement projects as assigned by the government program manager.
