Job summary

Guidehouse is seeking a Senior Okta Engineer to lead design, implementation, and optimization of Okta-based authentication services for a large federated U.S. government agency. You will shape IAM across multi-tenant environments, configuring Okta as the cloud identity provider and collaborating with other engineers.

The role requires deep knowledge of SAML/OIDC/OAuth2, MFA and adaptive access, plus strong scripting skills. US citizenship and public trust eligibility are mandatory.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Minimum five years in identity and access management with three years in Okta.
• Experience designing federated Okta environments.
• Familiarity with SAML, OIDC, OAuth2, SCIM and related protocols.
• Knowledge of federal frameworks (FISMA, FedRAMP, NIST 800-53).
• Strong scripting (PowerShell, Python) and Okta APIs/Workflows.

Responsibilities

• Architect and deploy scalable Okta solutions for authentication and identity governance across domains.
• Design and implement SSO, MFA, and adaptive access policies per federal standards.
• Integrate Okta with cloud and on‑premise apps including APIs and legacy systems.
• Collaborate with cybersecurity and infrastructure teams to optimize identity workflows.
• Monitor and optimize Okta performance and security posture.
