Job summary

TechDigital Group in Plano, TX seeks an experienced Authentication Architect to lead design and implementation of secure authentication solutions. You will collaborate with architecture, security, and engineering teams to drive MFA, SSO, and identity management across platforms.

The role requires 8+ years in authentication architecture, hands-on Okta experience, and strong knowledge of OAuth, SAML, OpenID Connect, and related protocols.

Qualifications

• BS/BA degree or equivalent experience
• 8+ years of experience in authentication architecture and design roles
• Hands-on experience with Okta and/or relevant access management tools
• Strong expertise in authentication protocols and mechanisms (OAuth, OpenID Connect, SAML, JWT, Kerberos)
• Development experience using Java, J2EE, JavaScript, Python and XML
• Experience with cloud-based authentication solutions (AWS Cognito, Azure AD, Okta)
• Expertise in security principles, access control models, and encryption methods
• Experience with Linux and Windows platforms, middleware, Apache and load balancers
• Experience developing workflows, custom connectors, and troubleshooting issues
• Experience in data security practices and procedures, including authentication technologies and access controls
• Experience with Agile and DevOps tools and methodologies
• Minimum Okta Certified Administrator: Okta Certified Consultant and/or Okta Certified Developer preferred
• CISSP / CIAM Certification is a plus

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and implementation of authentication solutions aligned with security and business goals
• Collaborate with architecture, engineering, and security teams to develop authentication strategies across platforms
• Drive evaluation and selection of authentication technologies, protocols, and tools
• Provide technical expertise in integration of MFA, biometric authentication, and SSO
• Stay up to date with industry trends, threats, and advancements in identity management
• Lead security assessments and penetration testing of authentication systems
• Define access control policies, user roles, and privilege management mechanisms
• Mentor and guide junior members of authentication and security teams
• Collaborate with external partners and vendors to implement best-in-class authentication solutions
• Create and maintain documentation related to authentication processes, configurations, and guidelines
