Job summary

Koniag Data Solutions, a Koniag Government Services company, seeks an experienced Senior Okta IAM Engineer to support enterprise identity and access management for a federal government client. Primary work at client site in Washington, DC with approved remote/telework locations.

Strong emphasis on zero trust, MFA, and secure identity architecture. The role requires an active security clearance or the ability to obtain one, and hands-on expertise across Okta platforms, SSO, AD/UD, lifecycle

Qualifications

• Minimum 7 years of hands-on IAM engineering experience with 4+ years in Okta Workforce Identity Cloud.
• Strong design and implementation experience with SSO (SAML 2.0, OIDC, OAuth 2.0) across diverse apps.
• Familiarity with Federal cybersecurity requirements and government contracting environment.
• Active security clearance or ability to obtain one as required.

Responsibilities

• Serve as senior technical authority for Okta IAM architecture, engineering, and operations.
• Lead design, implementation, and maintenance of enterprise Okta tenant, UD, MFA, SSO, and API Access Management.
• Develop architecture documentation, IAM policy frameworks, and disaster recovery/runbooks.
• Collaborate with security, network, cloud, and gov stakeholders to enforce Zero Trust across the enterprise.
• Mentor junior engineers and drive engineering best practices across the team.
• Support FedRAMP/ATO activities and ensure compliance with federal frameworks.
