A consulting firm supporting federal agencies is seeking a Law Clerk 1 for an onsite role in Washington D.C. The ideal candidate will have a law degree or equivalent training and be able to obtain a Public Trust clearance. Key responsibilities include performing legal research, assisting with litigation tasks, and preparing legal documents. Strong communication skills and familiarity with legal research tools are essential, along with the ability to work under pressure in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• Must be a US Citizen and able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.
• Knowledge of federal and state court systems and legal research procedures.
• Familiarity with Bluebook citations preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work under the direction of a Supervisory Paralegal or a Project Supervisor.
• Perform complex legal research for the trial staff.
• Assist in preparing draft legal documents and review documents for relevance.

Skills

Excellent written and oral communication skills

Knowledge of legal research tools such as LEXIS and Westlaw

Hands-on familiarity with Client tools and eDiscovery procedures

Strong analytic and organizational skills

Education

Law degree or currently attending an ABA-accredited law school (1 year completed)
