Job summary

Stanford University Libraries in Palo Alto, CA, is seeking a full-time Federal Information Discovery Project Manager to join the Research Data Services team. The role guides complex grant-funded projects from initiation through closing, coordinating partners, and managing budgets up to $600k.

This on-site position offers a hybrid option and requires strong leadership, communication, and risk-management skills to advance discovery and information management across Stanford's digital collections.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field and five years of related experience in management of projects with extensive size/complexity and moderate performance risk.
• Minimum Knowledge, Skills and Abilities include strong written and oral communication, cross-functional leadership, and ability to manage complex projects.
• Certifications: Project Management Professional (PMP) or in process.

Responsibilities

• Perform the full project management cycle: initiating, planning, executing, monitoring and controlling, and closing.
• Lead projects requiring high functional integration and multiple disciplines.
• Develop action plans and estimate resource requirements including management, labor, materials, and time.
• Facilitate discussions to drive consensus among project members and partners.
• Execute project strategy and communication plans; coordinate risk management and reporting.
• Coordinate Slack and Jira for communication and work management.
• Manage grant-supported work, partnerships, and grant reports; budget ranging from $250k to $600k.
