Job summary

IBM Consulting is seeking a Senior Red Hat Architect to lead hybrid cloud platforms for federal mission systems. You will serve as the technical authority on platform pursuits, leveraging Red Hat OpenShift, Ansible, Terraform, and Vault to design scalable, secure solutions.

You will drive demonstrations, PoCs, and accelerator development to differentiate our offerings in federal engagements. You will work with IBM teams and client partners to deliver complex, compliant architectures for IL5/IL6

Qualifications

• Ten or more years of enterprise platform engineering or architecture experience with Red Hat OpenShift and Ansible in production.
• Hands-on in deploying and hardening Kubernetes-native platforms to federal standards (DISA STIG, FedRAMP, IL5/IL6).
• Experience designing hybrid cloud infrastructure for federal DoD, civilian, or intelligence environments.
• Client-facing experience leading technical solutioning on engagements valued at $3M+ including design and pursuit support.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the client-facing technical authority on platform pursuits, shaping opportunities with Account Leaders.
• Design and deliver secure hybrid cloud platforms using Red Hat OpenShift, Ansible, Terraform, and Vault.
• Develop accelerators like STIG-hardened OpenShift references and the VMware migration factory, plus cATO automation pipelines.
• Lead platform demonstrations and proofs of concept to establish technical differentiation in competitive pursuits.
• Collaborate with peer practices and IBM teams to deliver joint pursuits and expand deal size.
