Job summary
IBM Consulting is seeking a Senior Red Hat Architect to lead federal mission-system platforms. You will serve as the technical authority, designing secure hybrid cloud solutions with OpenShift, Ansible, Terraform, and Vault, and ensuring STIG/FedRAMP compliance across IL5/IL6 environments.
You will own platform engagements above $3M, create accelerators, run demos and POCs, and work with IBM and Red Hat teams to win integrated opportunities.
Qualifications
- Ten or more years of enterprise platform engineering or architecture experience, with deep Red Hat OpenShift and Ansible in production.
- Hands-on expertise deploying and hardening Kubernetes-native platforms to federal security standards, including DISA STIG, FedRAMP, IL5/IL6.
- Experience designing and delivering hybrid cloud infrastructure for federal DoD, civilian, or intelligence environments.
- Client-facing experience leading technical solutioning on engagements valued at $3M+, including design, estimation, and pursuit support.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the client-facing technical authority on platform pursuits and shape opportunities.
- Design and deliver secure hybrid cloud platforms using Red Hat OpenShift, Ansible, Terraform, and Vault.
- Develop accelerators like STIG-hardened OpenShift references and cATO automation pipelines to shorten delivery timelines.
- Lead platform demonstrations and proofs of concept to differentiate in competitive bids.
- Collaborate with IBM Technology and Red Hat teams to expand deal sizes and advance the platform strategy.
