Job summary

Guidehouse seeks a Federal Human Capital Consultant in the Arlington area to help federal agencies modernize HR processes and manage workforce transformation initiatives. The role requires strong knowledge of Federal HR policy, HCM systems exposure, and ability to work with clients to design future-state HR processes.

Responsibilities include gathering requirements, leading workshops, developing process maps, and supporting HR technology deployments. Travel may be required during peak milestones.

Qualifications

• U.S. Citizenship and current residence within the United States required.
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Federal or DoD public trust.
• 3–10 years of HR/policy analysis experience with HR policy interpretation.
• Experience supporting Federal HR or Human Capital programs.
• Knowledge of OPM regulations, federal HR policies, and lifecycle management.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and improve federal HR processes across the employee lifecycle.
• Document and validate requirements from client stakeholders.
• Facilitate workshops and stakeholder sessions to identify improvements.
• Conduct gap analyses and develop modernization recommendations.
• Support HR technology and HCM implementation projects.
• Translate HR needs into functional requirements for tech teams.
• Develop process maps, workflows, and operating procedures.
• Support change management and user adoption activities.
• Identify risks and mitigation strategies; prepare client deliverables.
• Lead workstreams and mentor staff for senior roles when applicable.
