Job summary

Guidehouse is seeking a Federal Human Capital Consultant to support federal agencies in improving HR operations, modernizing HR processes, and advancing HCM transformation initiatives. Experience with Workday, Oracle HCM, SAP SuccessFactors, or ServiceNow HRSD is preferred.

Travel up to 10% and ability to obtain a public trust are required. The role combines HR policy knowledge, business process improvement, and stakeholder engagement to help clients optimize workforce management and mission

Qualifications

• U.S. Citizenship and current residence within the United States
• Three (3) to Ten(10) years experience in HR, policy analysis, or related field
• Experience supporting Federal HR or Human Capital programs
• Knowledge of OPM regulations and guidance, Federal HR policies and procedures
• Experience in HR functional areas: Staffing, Classification, Benefits, Leave, Employee Relations, Performance, HR Compliance
• Experience gathering requirements and supporting HR system modernization

Responsibilities

• Analyze and improve federal HR business processes across the employee lifecycle
• Gather, document, and validate requirements from client stakeholders
• Facilitate workshops and interviews to assess current-state processes
• Conduct gap analyses and develop modernization recommendations
• Support HCM implementation projects and HR technology
• Translate HR needs into functional requirements for tech teams
• Develop process maps and operating procedures
• Support change management and user adoption activities
• Identify risks and mitigation strategies
• Prepare client-facing presentations and executive deliverables
• Lead workstreams and client engagements (Senior/Managing/Associate Director tracks)
• Mentor junior staff and contribute to practice growth
