Job summary

Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency (DCSA) seeks a HUMAN RESOURCES MANAGEMENT TRAINEE for the DSE 27 Cohort. Open to full-time students with a 3.0+ GPA; must maintain enrollment through Oct 2028 and participate for at least 10 weeks (400 hours) this summer.

Eligible candidates must meet GG-05 or GG-07 criteria, pass a drug test, and be US citizens. Relocation is not provided; telework is allowed intermittently but office presence is required accordingly.

Qualifications

• Complete 1 full academic year of post-high school study by June 2027.
• Maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher at application time and throughout the program.
• Maintain full-time student status through October 2028.
• For GG-07, complete 4 academic years leading to a bachelor’s or equivalent by June 2027 and be enrolled in a graduate program Fall 2027.

Responsibilities

• Provide support to HR Specialists in Benefits, Staffing and Position Management, Recruiting, Employee Development, Leader Development, Employee Relations, Performance and Classification.
• Analyze and investigate facts and issues and interpret data to determine facts surrounding required actions.
• Gather information requested by specialists and conduct thorough research to support assigned programs.
• Determine relevant guidance, prepare reports, and carry out actions as directed.
• Organize data, identify issues, format materials, and provide improvements and solutions.
• Assemble files and obtain information to determine appropriate guidance for management.
