Job summary

Caplock Security LLC is hiring a Human Resources Generalist to support a Federal Agency in Washington, DC. The role covers staffing, personnel actions, onboarding, records management, and workforce operations, requiring strong federal HR knowledge and excellent communication.

Ideal candidates will manage SF-52 requests, coordinate staffing changes, and maintain HR documentation with discretion, delivering guidance to employees, supervisors, and leadership while ensuring compliance with agency

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in HR or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Experience supporting HR operations in a federal government or federal contracting environment.
• Experience preparing, processing, tracking, and managing SF-52 personnel actions.
• Familiarity with OPM policies, procedures, and regulations.
• Strong written and verbal communication; ability to work with leadership and HR stakeholders.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities with confidentiality and accuracy.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, review, process, track, and manage SF-52 Requests for Personnel Action through completion.
• Coordinate personnel actions including appointments, promotions, reassignments, transfers, separations, and other changes.
• Support recruitment, staffing, hiring, onboarding, and offboarding activities.
• Support federal position classification and related HR processes per OPM and agency policies.
• Maintain accurate personnel records, staffing trackers, HR documentation, and status reports.
• Provide HR guidance and responsive customer support to employees, supervisors, and managers.
• Track personnel actions, approvals, deadlines, and outstanding requirements for timely completion.
• Prepare professional HR correspondence, reports, and workforce communications.
• Handle sensitive and confidential personnel information with discretion.
• Support compliance with OPM regulations and federal HR policies and procedures.
• Support employee lifecycle programs including retirement and benefits.
