Job summary

Nationwide IT Services (NIS) is seeking a Human Resources Generalist to provide comprehensive HR support for a Federal Agency, focusing on staffing, personnel actions, onboarding, and employee administration. The role requires strong knowledge of SF-52 actions and precise records management.

You will collaborate with HR stakeholders, maintain confidential information, ensure compliance with OPM policies, and support lifecycle programs from recruitment through retirement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Admin, or related field or equivalent experience.
• Experience supporting HR operations in federal government or federal contracting.
• Experience preparing, processing, tracking SF-52 personnel actions.
• Familiarity with OPM policies, procedures, and federal HR regulations.
• Knowledge of federal staffing, personnel administration, and lifecycle processes.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with stakeholders.
• Strong organization, attention to detail, and confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, review, process, track, and manage SF-52 Requests for Personnel Action through completion.
• Coordinate personnel actions: appointments, promotions, reassignments, transfers, separations, etc.
• Support recruitment, onboarding, offboarding activities.
• Support position classification and HR processes per OPM policies.
• Maintain accurate personnel records, trackers, and reports.
• Provide HR guidance and responsive support to employees and managers.
• Track actions, approvals, deadlines, and outstanding requirements.
• Prepare HR correspondence, reports, and workforce communications.
• Handle sensitive confidential information with discretion.
• Ensure compliance with OPM regulations and agency requirements.
• Support lifecycle programs from recruitment to retirement and benefits.
