Job summary

Eisai US seeks a Director of Policy to lead Medicare Part D and broader U.S. health policy efforts across our neurology, oncology and pipeline portfolio.

You will partner with government affairs, advocacy groups and cross-functional teams to shape policy, monitor reimbursement trends and advance patient access and pricing strategies.

The role requires strong leadership, the ability to translate policy into business plans, and willingness to travel in a hybrid U.S. work setting.

Qualifications

  • 4-year college degree required, with minimum 8 years in government affairs, legislative or public health policy or related roles.
  • Advanced degree preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of Medicare Part D, government price reporting / drug pricing policy, and CMS regulatory processes.
  • Knowledge of or willingness to master additional policy issues impacting the biopharmaceutical industry (e.g., trade, IP).
  • Demonstrated knowledge of issues affecting biopharmaceutical and biotechnology industries, Medicare & Medicaid policy, and health care policy.
  • Strong understanding of public and private payer initiatives affecting reimbursement of biopharmaceutical and biotechnology products.
  • Ability to work independently across a matrix organization.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication and networking skills.
  • Willingness to travel including off-hours and weekends.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement public policy strategy addressing Medicare Part D objectives.
  • Represent Eisai’s public policy positions with policy makers and advocacy groups.
  • Collaborate with BIO and PhRMA on committees to address issues.
  • Identify and report on policy and reimbursement initiatives and emerging issues.
  • Integrate public policy strategies into Eisai disease, pipeline and product portfolio.
