Job summary

Commonwealth of Kentucky's Finance & Administration Cabinet, Office of Statewide Accounting Services, seeks a Federal Fund Accountant to coordinate the Commonwealth's annual SEFA reporting and the statewide Statewide Single Audit of Kentucky. You will work with agencies across state government to ensure accurate reporting of federal expenditures and compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with twenty semester hours in accounting.
• Four years professional accounting or audit experience; two years federal accounting, auditing, or reporting.
• Substitute education for experience allowed in Kentucky State Government accounting.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the Commonwealth's SEFA reporting process.
• Provide statewide training and guidance to agency financial staff on federal reporting and Uniform Guidance.
• Assist agencies with reconciling SEFA reporting packages and resolving discrepancies.
• Prepare the Single Audit reporting package and coordinate with external auditors and federal agencies.
• Develop reporting guidance and best practices to strengthen statewide compliance.
