Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field with at least 12 credit hours in Accounting.
• 1 to 3 years’ related accounting experience preferred.
• Experience with budget tracking, reporting, and cost analysis is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Ledger maintenance, cost analysis, reconciliation, posting, and inventory control.
• Analyze budgets and expenditures for various funding sources; ensure compliance and reporting.
• Review accounting reports for accuracy; prepare entries for budgets, revenues, expenses, payroll, invoices.
• Advise on policies to faculty, staff, and vendors; explain billings and reports.
• Develop and oversee accounting applications and financial data handling.
• May participate in audits and prepare billings and financial statements.
• Assist in preparation of unit budgets and provide guidance to staff.
• Provide training and oversight to junior staff.
