Job summary

BluePath Labs is seeking a Federal FOIA Specialist to support a federal client with end-to-end processing of FOIA requests, including gathering records, applying exemptions, and preparing response packages. The role emphasizes careful handling of acquisition-sensitive information and disciplined case management. U.S.

citizenship is required; TS/SCI clearance is preferred and the candidate must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Four or more years of experience processing federal FOIA requests.
• Experience collecting, organizing, reviewing, and tracking responsive federal records.
• Experience applying FOIA exemption guidance to proposed redactions and preparing materials for Government or legal review.

Responsibilities

• Process federal FOIA requests involving acquisition, contracting, and related agency records.
• Coordinate searches and records collection with Government offices and teams.
• Organize, index, and review responsive records for completeness and sensitivity.
• Apply FOIA exemption guidance to identify redactions for government or legal review.
• Prepare draft response letters, release packages, and supporting case documentation.
• Maintain accurate case files, trackers, deadlines, and correspondence.
• Coordinate consultations and legal reviews, tracking actions through resolution.
• Protect sensitive information and ensure QC of response packages.
