Job summary

U.S. Fleet Forces Command seeks a Financial Technician to support the NCTAMS PAC Det PS fiscal and supply functions. You will process and track commitments, obligations, expenditures, and reimbursements, and maintain audit-ready financial records.

You will assist in compiling data for recurring financial reports, summaries, and briefings on budget execution and fund status, and be a point of contact for routine inquiries while ensuring DoN and DoD compliance.

Qualifications

• Experience processing and tracking financial transactions such as commitments, obligations, expenditures, reimbursements, or disbursements using established financial procedures.
• Experience reviewing financial documents for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with applicable financial policies, regulations, or established internal procedures.
• Experience entering, updating, maintaining, and reconciling financial information in automated financial management systems or databases.
• Experience providing customer service by responding to routine financial inquiries and explaining standard financial procedures to employees or organizational representatives.
• Experience utilizing common office automation software such as Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and Teams to prepare correspondence, maintain records, and analyze financial data.

Responsibilities

• Process and track financial transactions including commitments, obligations, expenditures, and reimbursements.
• Maintain financial records, logs, and supporting documentation.
• Assist higher-level staff in preparing recurring financial reports, summaries, and briefings.
• Serve as a point of contact for routine financial inquiries from supported departments.
• Ensure actions comply with DoN/DoW and federal financial management regulations.
