Job summary

You will evaluate budgets, analyze costs and risks, and apply accounting principles to maintain data integrity for organizational programs and activities. This is a federal GS-level position requiring appropriate clearances.

Qualifications

• Interpreting budgetary policies, precedents and regulations within a program area.
• Formulating multi-year or fluctuating program budget estimates and funding strategies.
• Conducting in-depth analytical reasoning to resolve complex budgetary discrepancies.
• Utilizing enterprise financial systems to track transactions and ensure data integrity.
• Planning and reporting on financial studies to ensure GAAP compliance.

Responsibilities

• Support all phases of budget formulation, justification, execution and financial operations for programs.
• Develop and evaluate budget estimates and financial plans per DoW and DON guidance.
• Analyze financial and program data to evaluate costs, risks and alternatives.
• Apply accounting and internal control principles to ensure integrity of financial information.
