The role supports a federal agency with legal and investigative services, using data, evidence gathering, and analytical reporting to advance prosecutorial objectives.

Qualifications include four years in complex investigations, knowledge of investigative techniques and the ability to obtain a requisite background investigation.

Qualifications

• Minimum four years planning and conducting civil or criminal investigations into misuse of funds.
• Experience with commercial databases and information sources.
• U.S. Citizenship and ability to obtain background adjudication.

Responsibilities

• Plans and conducts investigations.
• Performs analysis of facts and presents results to support mission.
• Develops and analyzes evidence from investigators and law enforcement.
• Gathers and analyzes statements, timelines, and data for prosecutorial objectives.
• Verifies relationships among facts and evidence for document authenticity.
• Provides analysis on federal violations (fraud, money laundering, etc.).
• Uses databases to identify assets, documents, and evidence.
• Prepares interim and final investigative reports.
• Prepares affidavits and testifies in court as required.
