Job summary

KPMG LLP is seeking a Senior Associate for its Federal Advisory practice in Washington, DC. The role focuses on budget formulation, budget execution, and financial management across PPBE lifecycle, delivering executive dashboards and data-driven insights to agency leadership.

Applicants must have a minimum of three years in federal financial management and a Bachelor’s degree; CPA/CGFM/CDFM are preferred. Domestic travel and TS clearance are required.

Qualifications

• A minimum of three years of federal financial management experience.
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university; CPA / CGFM / CDFM certifications preferred.
• Hands-on experience with all components of the Planning, Programming, Budgeting, and Execution (PPBE) lifecycle.
• Experience analyzing financial and systems processes and controls.
• Ability to travel as required; U.S. Government Top Secret clearance.

Responsibilities

• Lead budget formulation and budget execution activities and develop executive dashboards to improve data transparency and compliance.
• Lead efforts coordinating the PPBE lifecycle with BES and PB submissions, including traceability of changes to budgets and narratives.
• Support execution year tracking of funds and compliance with federal regulations and fund-year requirements.
• Partner with federal stakeholders to modernize financial operations using leading methodologies and digital tools.
• Develop and maintain dynamic dashboards to present complex financial data to agency leadership.
