Job summary

KPMG LLP is seeking a Manager to join our Federal Advisory practice in McLean, VA. You will plan, schedule, and execute complex, cross-functional projects or programs from initiation through closure, leading engagement teams and ensuring on-time delivery.

You will apply knowledge of Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, or hybrid methodologies to scale projects, identify stakeholder needs, and design training and capability development while managing IMSs and CPM analysis.

Qualifications

• Five or more years of experience in project, program, or portfolio management across large-scale transformation programs.
• Bachelor's degree in business administration or related field.
• PMP or ScrumMaster certification preferred.
• Experience in business and solution development and project delivery.
• Knowledge of PM processes including reports, schedule management, risk, quality, and project financials.
• Experience building relationships with senior clients.
• Ability to travel as required.
• U.S. Government clearance eligibility.

Job description

Responsibilities:

• Plan, schedule and execute complex, cross-functional projects or programs from initiation through closure while leading engagement teams
• Deep understanding of project management methodologies (Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, or hybrid frameworks) and how to scale them to project size
• Ability to identify, analyze, and segment stakeholder groups, establishing tailored engagement plans to secure buy-in at all levels
• Competency in designing and evaluating training assessments, tracking completion rates, and measuring post-training proficiency
• Ability to analyze resource skill gaps relative to new capabilities, process and translate those gaps into structured training and capability development
• Lead development, maintenance, and analysis of schedules and Integrated Master Schedules (IMSs) in include project activities, durations, relationships, milestones, risks, resources use, and project budgets to allow Critical Path Management (CPM) analysis

Qualifications:

• A minimum of five years of experience with project, program / portfolio management, specifically with large-scale transformation programs, involving business process, organization, and technology components
• Bachelor's degree in business administration or related field from an accredited college/university
• PMP, Business Analysts or ScrumMaster Certification preferred
• Experience in business and solution development, project/program management, and project delivery
• Strong understanding of project, program, and portfolio management processes and best practices, including reports, schedule management, risk management, quality control, and project financials
  
• Demonstrated experience developing relationships with senior clients
• Ability to travel as required to support firm engagements
